Be Still...Believe...God is Fighting for you!!!

 

We all have expectations and hopes . you may have gone through many situations in your life. But God says whatever you have faced is over. In Exodus it says "you will see the Egyptians No more". Looking back we would say "It was a tough year!" . God says whatever you have faced will end! 

          The people of Israel suffered as slaves for 40 long years. We can guess how much they have suffered. God delivered them from the cruel pharaoh and they thanked and praised God thinking its all over. But they were terrified and cried out to the Lord when they saw the Egyptian army coming after them. They started to accuse and abuse Moses. But there again God says " you will not see them again" 

My dear friends, do not be afraid. You will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. Whatever keeps on bothering you, it will end. You will not see them again.

When I look back, I faced struggles in my life. Struggles that I have never imagined. It gave me hurt, pain and wounds. One day I was asking many questions to God. The only reply He gave was "RELAX" . God spoke to me through this scripture " Be still and know that I am God" Friend, if you are going through the same situation, I have a Good News for you. The Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still. May be the things which bother you keeps on coming after your life. Terrifying and strangling you. God says " My child , Relax Know that I Am God". Hallelujah! My friend you are not going to fight. The Lord will fight for you! I was burdened to share this Word of God with you all. God wants you to know its over. Your pain, tear, hurt...whatever it may be...it is all finished.

                      God says the Egyptian who gave you burden , who took away your peace, happiness and smile , you see today, hereafter you will never see them again. Believe that  You will see victory .God will bless you and fulfill His Promise in you. Its over. Its finished. The devil may tell you No Hope . Its dead. God will give you the Victory. If you Believe , say Amen with me!

 

BE LIKE JESUS

 

We are called to be like Jesus. If we walk with Him, people will identify Christ in you. Hebrews 12 says " Fix your eyes on Him" "He is our example" Philippians 2 tells us some practical things we can do in order to be more like Jesus. All of us wants to be like someone. We try to be like them. If we want to be like Jesus, we must do the same. To be like Jesus is very hard. But if we have strong foundation in Christ, we will just throw every other thing and will show the Love of Jesus through us.

 

What should we avoid from our lives in order to be like Jesus? Galatians5:19-20, Ephesians 5:3-4, Colossians 3:5, 8:12-13, 4:5-6, Romans 13:13. We can see a lot of scriptures in the Bible. We live in this tempting world. So many things can pull you back, but if we know, "Who We Are in Christ" , nothing can spoil our lives! Our communication , our attitude, our behavior.  everything should be like Jesus. What all things Christ has shown us through His life, we should follow all that. If we choose to live like Jesus, we cannot live like the worldly people. Especially if we follow Him as a 'disciple', we must say "NO" to worldly desires. We have limits. We should say 'no' to sin. Our body is the Temple of Christ !! HE lives in us !!

1)Do not spoil His temple with sinful thoughts and sinful life.

2)We should keep a boundary for everything.

3)World will tempt you, but we should be courageous enough to ignore them.

4)Keep your relationships clean and pure.

5)Never give a place to the devil to destroy your life.

 

What can we do to be like Jesus?  Romans12:12 says "we should offer our body as a living sacrifice". Ephesians5:12 says " follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." We too must have the qualities of forgiveness, patience, love , wisdom and perseverance that Jesus had.

 

How can we learn these things without diversity , pain and strife ? Jesus was handed an unbelievable amount of all these things and through them He showed the world how much He loved all. Mark 10:43-45 says " to be like Jesus means a life of service to others" we ought to be like Christ in His service. John chapter 13 says " He took off His outer garments, He tied a towel around Him, He poured water into a basin and washed His disciples' feet. When He had finished, He resumed His place and said " If then I, your Lord and Teacher , have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example" Notice the word, " that you should do as I have done to you". We have to be like Christ in His love. I now think of Ephesians 5:2,in specific, " walk in love as Christ loved us and gave Himself as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." We ought to be like Christ, in His patient endurance. We ought to be like Christ in His mission.

 

If we want to be like Jesus, we must.

1) Promote unity with other Christians 

2) Display humility all times 

3) Serve Him with joy 

4) Prove ourselves blameless and innocent 

5) And above all do not reproach. To be an example , to a lost world.

 

Sometimes you and I might say, " I wish I am more like Jesus". Is that our real wish? When we ask God to make us like Jesus, we pray to be led to the cross. There is no growth without pain and struggles. And no victory without dying to love selfish desires. We are called to be like Jesus. In order to do that, we need to spend time learning about Jesus , Who He is and how He lived along with what is important to Him. We can only do that through the word.

 Being like Jesus does not end with reading, prayer , meditation and study of the Word. We are called to ACTUALLY be like HIM!! This means our lives Must look like HIS !!
